Intro to Canine Freestyle (Dancing with your Dog)

- No prerequisites; ages 6 months and older, with modifications for puppies and seniors
Justus Joseph teaches canine freestyle (dog dance) through Lineage of Love Dog Training in Chicago. Her approach builds movement from the dog's natural expression rather than a list of trained behaviours, with assent-based methods throughout. Her students have gone from complete beginners to competing through the main U.S. titling organizations, both online and in-person.
This Workshop Will Cover:
- Steps to a specific song and building toward a short routine
- Customized to the room: Justus will work with ALL Level Teams in this workshop! No tricks? No problem! Let Justus help you find your rhythm.
- Introduction to canine freestyle culture and titling paths (MDSA, WCFO)
- A note on space: Since the room has limited visual barriers, this format works best for dogs who are comfortable in a group setting.
