FAQs

  • Day Training is designed for guardians who:

    • Feel overwhelmed by their dog’s energy, manners, or behaviours.

    • Want professional training done for them because time, consistency, or know-how is a challenge.

    • Need reliable results they can maintain with a little coaching support.

    • Dream of easier walks, calmer greetings, and more peaceful days at home.

It’s especially helpful for adolescent and adult dogs whose big feelings make everyday life harder than it should be.

This program is not the right fit for:

    • Dogs with severe aggression or complex anxiety (these require a specialized behavior program).

    • Guardians who want to do all the training themselves.

If you’re looking for a path where the hard work is handled by a pro, Day Training was designed for you.

  • No — most trainer sessions happen without you. I come to your home, train your dog, and update you afterward. You’ll only need to be present for the weekly transfer session.

  • Day Training is designed for everyday struggles like:

    • Loose leash walking

    • Calm greetings

    • Impulse control (waiting, leave it, drop it)

    • Focus and attention

    • Building confidence in new situations

    • Reducing overexcitement

For more serious issues like aggression or severe separation anxiety, we’ll discuss whether this program is the right fit or if another approach is better.

  • Yes! That’s the purpose of transfer sessions — I’ll show you how to use the skills your dog is learning so the results stick with you, not just with me.

  • Most guardians notice changes within the first week or two, thanks to consistent professional sessions. Real transformation takes time, which is why every program has a minimum three-week commitment.

  • Because I do the training for you, your daily time commitment is much smaller. You’ll just need to practice simple follow-through from transfer sessions — often just a few minutes a day.

  • No. A flat collar or harness, leash, and treats are usually all that’s required. I’ll let you know if optional tools (like a long line or puzzle toys) would help.

  • I use only positive reinforcement and science-based methods. That means no punishment, no harsh corrections, and no fear-based tools. Instead, we focus on rewarding what you do want, managing the environment, and giving your dog clear communication they can succeed with.
